The House That Stamps Built Photo Inspiration

No automatic alt text available.

Is this not a beautiful photo for this weeks inspiration at
The House That Stamps Built?  I pretty much took the
photo and colors just as they were shown and made an
which I have had for awhile and was wanting to use.
I colored it with Copic Markers.

Spring time

Time for some fun challenges.  Mrs. A's Butterfly Challenge has taken a on a new look.  I waited until Sketch Saturday posted for the week so I could combine the two challenges.  Mrs. A's challenge now has 6 options and I decided it would be fun to do all 6.  This round is #95 spin the wheel with Letter P and butterfly.  I used Pink, Peach, Purple, patterned paper (with peach, pink and purple in it), Pearls, and paper piecing.  I did a little twist on the paper piecing, I did a die cut and ten paper pieced the center of it, below is the empty die and you can see above how I paper pieced it with some alcohol inked paper cut with the same die. I used the darling sketch below from Sketch Saturday.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week!

I used Repeat Impressions: Flower Power Separates., a die
cut by tutti designs, paper and bling from my stash.

Butterfly fun

I meant to post this card over the weekend but time got away from me.  I really like the
new fad of colored splatters so could not resist adding them to this card (and many others!) I made this card with Mrs. A's Butterfly challenge :  #94 Spin the Butterfly Wheel with
the Letter C.   I choose Crimson and Corners, and added in the Cream.  You should
check out this fun challenge!

Hope you had a fun weekend and some crafting time!

The House That Stamps Built Pick of the Week

Donna here with POTW-Pick of the Week for The House That Stamps Built.  I am going to show you how to make a  Recessed Panel Card - a great way to use up some of that patterned paper stash!

1) Gather your supplies: An A-2 card, a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of white card stock, a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of  patterned paper, stamps of your choice, I used Repeat Impressions: 1210-K, Tumbling Hearts  and 1207-J, Floral LOVE and basic supplies.

2) Glue patterned paper to front of A-2 card.  Mark  a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of  white cardstock in pencil 1 1/4"  to the left of the bottom right corner, and 2 1/2" above the bottom right corner.  Trim from the top left corner to these marks, then erase the marks.  Discard the center piece.

3)  Glue the patterned paper to the front of your A2 card front. Attach your white diagonal pieces with foam tape or as I did with a second layer of paper attached - I felt my card needed more color so I cut a layer of red and attached it to my white and got the dimension I needed.

4) Embellish as desired.  I stamped the red with 1210-K, Tumbling Hearts with Versamark ink for just a faint image all over the red cadstock, and 1207-J, Floral LOVE in red for my saying.  The balloons are cut out with a heart die by Nellie.  You can also do a rectangle, curved edge or any shape your imagination can come up with!

Create a Valentine Background and/or Colors
Image result for design seeds kiss

Has January not just flown by, 2018 is flying by.  Time for another fun
monthly challenge at  House of Cards.  Anything with a Valentine background
or the pink colors above goes.

I got this fun new heart die from Momenta and the Spellbinder with love from
Hobby Lobby and Michaels with my discount coupons so just had to
play with those.  Papers were in my tub of backgrounds.  I am trying
to use up items that have been on my craft room  shelves for a longtime.
You can really find some treasures when you start to organize a small
area every week!
I hope you will join the challenge this month at House of Cards.
