Teddy Bear Christmas

It's sketch time at The House That Stamps Built, and this was our sketch from Wendy this week!

No automatic alt text available.

This one was a bit of a challenge for me, took a bit of thinking before I began on it, but I was happy with the final result.  You can't tell from the picture but I misted the entire card with Imagine Sheer Shimmer spray so it is glittered up beautifully.

Supplies:  Repeat Impressions: 2007-I, Christmas Teddy

Let's Go Blues

Anything Goes this week at The House That Stamps Built!

The layers on my card really are navy blue, it just does not photograph that way even with numerous attempts.  This was such a fun card to make for my youngest sons birthday.  He is a big hockey (and baseball) fan.  I used embossing paste just on the diagonal and after it dried used Distress Oxides in our local hockey teams colors.  After stamping Repeat Impressions 6104-J, Birthday Vertical I printed St. Louis Blues images from Pinterest and cut them out on  my Scan and Cut. I think he will be pleased.

It's been awhile since I mad a card just for fun and played along in some of my
favorite challenges so I started this card yesterday and finished
it today.  It was nice to just relax and create.

Wine for two

 No automatic alt text available.

Tic-Tac-Toe time at The House That Stamps Built this week!  I made a fun fold card and used a new embossing folder I've been wanting to play with. I used white core paper so I could sand the embossed grapes and leaves.  This was my first inking of Repeat Impressions: 9507-P, Wine for Two, I used glossy accents on the wine, added a bit of faux stitching to the wine label, some dew drops and twine to complete the card and my tic-tac-toe!

House of Cards November

Please note this is my second post today.

November 2017 House of Cards Challenge
Holiday and/or Colors

What a fun photo Christmas and coffee together, what a great combination. Who can resist this, I know I can't. I went with the coffee theme and the Christmas colors from the photo adding in gold, Christmas needs sparkle.  My image is Sparkle and Sprinkle To Go Cup from the digital set Expresso Yourself.

Find Beauty

Designer Choice Challenge this week at The House That Stamps Built and Laurie has chosen: Falling for you: leaves, fall, autumn cards:

I am having so much fun with my Distress Oxide inks I started by painting a fall background and using a splatter brush (yes there is a Tim Holtz splatter brush just for this).  I then did an Oxide ink background in leaf colors and stamped it with Repeat Impressions:  3313-E, Oak Leaf 5 times and fussy cut and then placed those so they looked liked they were falling from a tree.
